Free D&D 5e Cantrip Cards: Eldritch Blast, Guidance & Mage Hand
This is the first batch of free D&D 5e cantrip cards I’m releasing, featuring three iconic spells: Eldritch Blast, Guidance, and Mage Hand.
Each card combines original fantasy artwork with a compact reference to the spell’s mechanics, including casting time, range, components, duration, and effects. I’ve also highlighted relevant differences between the 2014 and 2024 rules, making these cards useful for players and Dungeon Masters working with either edition.
All three cards are available as free JPG and PDF downloads, ready to keep on your device or print for your next session.
What’s Included in This First Cantrip Batch?
Three spells, three different applications of magic, and three illustrated cards designed to put essential information within easy reach.
Eldritch Blast — Raw Arcane Power
A signature warlock cantrip, Eldritch Blast channels destructive magical energy into a ranged attack that deals force damage.
The card covers its damage, range, and progression as characters gain levels, including the additional beams unlocked at higher levels. Each beam can target the same creature or a different one, making it a versatile offensive option.
Guidance — A Helping Hand from Magic
Sometimes the smallest magical intervention can change the outcome of an important moment.
Guidance offers a bonus to ability checks, and its mechanics have changed significantly in the 2024 rules. This card highlights that distinction, helping you keep track of how the spell works in either version.
Mage Hand — The Art of Invisible Manipulation
Not every magical problem needs an explosion.
Mage Hand creates a spectral hand capable of manipulating objects at a distance, opening unlocked doors, handling items, and performing other simple tasks without direct physical contact.
The card summarizes its possibilities and limitations, alongside the adjustments introduced in the 2024 rules.

Using the Cards at Your Table
These cards are intended as quick references, keeping the information you need visible without repeatedly searching through spell descriptions.
You can print them and keep them beside your character sheet, consult the digital versions during an online session, or hand them to players who are still becoming familiar with their spells.
The illustrated format also gives each cantrip its own visual identity, turning a familiar mechanical effect into something a little more tangible at the table.
This is just the first batch of cantrip cards, with more spells to follow as the collection grows.
