A world yet unveiled

Welcome to VeilBorn

VeilBorn Series is a collection of standalone manuals crafted to expand the very soul of each campaign. Far from offering mere statistics, it delves deep into narrative elements. Each volume is a window into the unknown — an invitation to discover settings, characters, and other components that breathe with history and meaning. Though every book is designed for complete independence, all entries are subtly interconnected through a delicate web of optional or suggested ties — invisible threads that, when woven together, reveal a deeper dimension to those who dare to look beyond the veil.

Created for discerning storytellers, the books in VeilBorn Series are not merely tools to enrich your sessions, but vessels of atmosphere, emotion, and dramatic weight. Whether for a spontaneous adventure or a long-form chronicle, every piece is carefully designed to offer more than utilitarian content: to help DMs and players shape an experience. VeilBorn Series presents a set of narrative tools with a soul of their own, ready to be sculpted by the unique vision of those who choose to make them their own.

The first release is Heroes and Foes, a supplement featuring 50 richly detailed characters — each with a full biography covering their backstory, personality, motivations, desires, weaknesses, and relationships — ideal for those seeking vivid, multifaceted NPCs ready to come to life at the table.

Take a look at Heroes and Foes

Helgrid Varisson

Helgrid Varisson (Barbarian)

Born in the harsh kingdom of Vhallar, Helgrid proved herself through wisdom and steel. She brought down the Albino Ripper, a beast that ravaged her people’s herds. Neither exile nor outcast, she left her clan by choice—seeking challenges beyond their reckoning, and a fate only she can forge. Also she received from her people a great honor: the Tiara of Valkyria. But will she ever feel worthy of it—and of her mother’s teachings?

Sylas Wyncrest (Bard)

Raised on the road by merchants, tricksters, and drifters, Sylas learned early that charm and a good story opened more doors than truth ever could. Now he wanders not to sing of others, but to become the tale others will sing. With a silver tongue, a sly grin, and the Harp of Forgotten Echoes hidden under his cloak, he courts danger as if it were a lover. Sylas seeks not fortune or titles, but a place in the verses that outlive us all.

Skorhild Borrfald

Skorhild Borrfald (Cleric)

Born in Kragvold, a fortress locked in ceaseless war against an ancient threat beyond the Thur-Morad peaks, Skorhild has never known peace. Raised among stone and steel, she learned faith not as solace, but as weapon—each wound healed, each hymn sung with a hammer’s swing. Now, chosen by prophecy, she marches beyond the mountain to test the mettle of distant warriors. For the final battle is coming—and only the worthy shall stand at her side when darkness floods the pass and the last walls echo with the war drums.

Vardan Bramur (Druid)

Born among the Ferawyn halflings—wild-blooded, fierce-eyed, and beast-bound—Vardan grew up where the forest speaks and instincts rule. Silent and watchful, he walks between two worlds: the savage legacy of his people and a secret longing for forbidden refinement. Driven by a sacred duty to protect the wild’s essence, he defends the primal harmony of life with feral resolve.
Yet sometimes, under moonlight, he dreams of marble and silk.

Durna Kelbrun

Durna Kelbrun (Warrior)

Durna defended Sythralis during the Karvess incursion, but her shield wasn’t enough to save her brother Jorik. She rejected the honor granted to her and left, exiled with a promise etched in searing metal. Since then, she fights to redeem herself, seeking in each battle more than victory: forgiveness. She does not accept the title imposed on her, nor the weight of the past she carries. Sometimes, in the heat of battle, a voice whispers through the haze… and a familiar scent cuts through the blood and steel.

Quendor Branshade (Monk)

Quendor was born in Qhar’Zhelur, the City Without Shadows. Raised in a world stripped of outer darkness, he took refuge in inner silence. A monk of the Hidden Path, he’s become a silent, precise, near-invisible presence. Though he preaches detachment, he secretly delights in crafting fleeting structures with his hands. He leaves no trace, no name, no shadow. If anyone tries to remember him, he’ll do what’s needed to vanish.

Roshka Ironfang

Roshka Ironfang (Paladin)

Born in the wind-steeped plains of Vor’Ghaen, Roshka turned her back on the whispers of grass to chase the truth behind unseen deaths. She walks the world seeking what escapes even the eyes of gods. Her obsession with weapons burns bright—but so does the oath she swore in blood: never to refuse a duel. That promise drags her into senseless battles. The scent of smoke and steel follows her like a shadow, a trail forged by duty, stubbornness and unanswered questions.

Elarion Thareveth (Ranger)

Elarion was born where the rain never ends and the mists veil forgotten truths. In the drowned lowlands of Naerhûn, he first glimpsed the sunken towers of Aeltrannar rising through the fog—and nothing was ever the same. He walks the world seeking what others abandon to time. Every ruin is a whisper. Every echo, a clue. Quiet, precise, and seduced by the dreams of velarume—a rare blue resin offered only in the most exquisite dens, and which reveals places he’s never walked—he chases visions more than answers. Even madness has meaning, if you learn to read it..

Phaedra Qyll

Phaedra Qyll (Rogue)

Phaedra was abandoned at birth in a Calderun orphanage, where she learned silence was the only true shield. She honed a natural talent for stealth and precise kills, skills that led her to become a top-tier assassin. Her goal isn’t wealth, but complete independence. Yet a betrayal in Nyth’Varel branded her: House Qua’lyndar now hunts her relentlessly. Phaedra perfects her craft with icy precision, knowing one misstep would deliver her into her enemies’ blades.

Orvyn Halzareth (Warlock)

Orvyn was raised among the prismatic dunes of Yzheral, where light plays tricks even on the trained eye. It was there his magic awakened, bringing with it visions of an uncharted, impossible place. Since then, he has wandered in search of that elusive truth. His blood-red eyes, a mark of his awakening, stir fear or fascination in others. Yet Orvyn presses on: with each step, each word, each name he whispers into his notebook, he believes he’s edging closer to a truth not yet shaped.

Elara Voss

Elara Voss (Witch)

Since childhood, Elara knew the stone could speak—though no one else heard it. In Jhaerath, among living rocks and glowing moss, she learned to read the world’s whispers. Her gift earned her exile, but also purpose: to follow the voice echoing beyond her homeland. Now she roams forgotten corners, recording every anomaly, every inexplicable flicker, every arcane scar. She writes like a translator of a lost language. To understand is, for her, a sacred act.

Wraxian Arkos (Wizard)

He grew up in the shadow of Worgandyr—the bottomless abyss. His dreams—dense, conscious, dark—sealed his fate. Wraxian left on the elders’ command, carrying a staff of sealed memory, hoping to weaken his bond to the chasm. Now he wanders distant lands, cataloguing the unseen impulses that shape reality, and at times, when chaos overwhelms him, he breaks things with his hands to soothe himself. Understanding is not merely his goal, but the only way he knows to endure. To understand is, for him, a sacred act.
